We’re just about ready to open registration for ROBOTICON 2021, but wanted to announce some fun opportunities for you to
check out while you’re waiting – Starting with the NEXT Robotics Competition!
The ROBOTICON NEXT Challenge is finally here! Designed by alumni of the Mighty Mechanical Mustangs, who were the winners of the ROBOTICON Digital 2020 NEXT Game Design Challenge, this new game by alumni for alumni will be played during ROBOTICON 2021 at the Yeungling Center.
How it Works
Played on a 12×24 ft. field, in OUTAGE, two alliances will compete to power their battery. Each alliance will consist of two teams that will work together 
to collect and shoot volts to charge their battery. Teams will be able to increase the charging rate by taking possession of the boost plate in the center of the field. At the end of the match, teams will be able to climb the boost bar resulting in additional power.”
So if you’re a FIRST alum who wishes you could still build a robot and enjoy the fun of your high school competitions, here’s your chance!
Open to teams of two or more post-high school players ages 18 and up. Registration fee is $50.
