Established in 2015, FIRST Robotics Competition team 5842 Royal Robotics is a Tampa Bay area team, and the cornerstone of River Ridge High School’s Engineering Academy, participating in FRC and VRC, coaching FLL, running a summer STEM camp, partnering with fellow academies on projects such as theater sets, and shooting their t-shirt cannon Gopsi at school and community events.
Fun team fact: Royal’s founder, Sam McAmis is the designer and captain of BattleBots team Gruff.

These purple-robed roboticists will be showcasing their engineering skills on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 2 & 3, during the ROBOTICON Off-Season event, free and open to the public at University Mall, from 11 am to 5 pm each day.
