While 2020 is challenging in so many ways, it’s also opened up some interesting opportunities to bring more people, and in the case of ROBOTICON, teams together in new ways.  One of the nicest aspects of a virtual ROBOTICON event is that geographical boundaries are no obstacle to participating.  And we’re especially grateful that FIRST Robotics Competition team  2341, the Sprockets, of Shawnee, Oklahoma agrees and signed up to be part of ROBOTICON Live Online!

Based at the Gordon Cooper Technology Center in Shawnee, the Sprockets are a 14 year old FIRST Robotics Competition team.  Over their lifetime, they’ve been awarded three Chairman’s Awards, winner of the North Texas Robotics Tournament, have two Woodie Flowers Award winners and  have brought home five Engineering Inspiration Awards.  The team also runs a STEM on Wheels program that supports 26 school districts.

Sprockets is sponsored by the Department of Defense, Tinker Field ALC, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Gordon Cooper Technology Center, NASA, AVEDIS Foundation and the Gene HAAS Foundation.

If you’d like to join in with the Sprockets, register for ROBOTICON Live Online! by November 4th!
