Team 5276 the Edgar Allan Ohms got their start in a public library in 2013 (hence the literary name). In 2019, the team moved to the Advanced Manufacturing & Robotics Center (AMRoC) Fab Lab, in Tampa, an 8000 sq. ft. public creative space where this community-based team continues its legacy of accessibility and inclusion.

The Edgar Allan Ohms robotics team was the first FIRST Robotics Competition team that was started and operated out of a public library, headquartered at the Land O’Lakes Public Library in Pasco County for its first five years and is currently the only community-based FIRST Robotics Competition team in Tampa, welcoming youth from around the Uptown Tampa/University Area. The team is active year-round in community outreach efforts that include participating in the FCDI STEAMFest Road Show at the Florida State Fair, assisting with camps and special events at AMRoC Fab Lab, and more.

Team sponsors include Department of Defense STEM, Bay Area Manufacturers Association, SOFWERX, Analog Devices, the Florida High Tech Corridor, Suncoast Credit Union, Symbotic and the Foundation for Community Driven Innovation.
