New at ROBOTICON this year is our Combat Robotics Competition for Beetleweight (3lb), Ant Weight (1 lb) and Fairy Weight (150 g) class fighting robots!  This competitive robotics program is open to people of all ages, and teams of all types – school teams, teams of family and friends, young people, and older people!

Teams can also enter multiple robots in different weight classes in tournaments, which are governed by Sparc (Standardized Procedures for the Advancement of Robotic Combat) Rules.  At our inaugural ROBOTICON Rumble Combat Robotics Tournament on October 21, nearly 20 teams are bringing nearly 30 robots in various weight classes to duke it out in our Beetleweight Combat Robotics Arena at University Mall!

Meet one of those teams: Combat Team Halogen Robotics, from Gainesville, FL!  They’ll be competing with two of their robots: Fluorine (Ant Weight class) and Chloride (Beetleweight).

You can see more videos from Halogen on their YouTube Channel.  and you can see them live at ROBOTICON Saturday October 22 from noon to 5pm, or watch the Combat tournament at Twitch.tv/ROBOTICONTB throughout the day.
