West Florida Robotics, also known as the West Florida Region, is the volunteer organization that supports FIRST LEGO League and FIRST LEGO League Jr. programs in the Tampa Bay area. ROBOTICON guests and teams will see West Florida Robotics volunteers running the FLL and FLL Jr. portions of ROBOTICON , as well as hosting workshops.  This year, West Florida Robotics is also sponsoring our ROBOTICON FIRST Alumni get-together on October 12, at AMRoC Fab Lab, starting at 6:30pm.

West Florida Region is housed at Hillsborough Community College and supports FIRST LEGO League and FIRST LEGO League programs in 16 counties, including Charlotte, Citrus, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Lee, Manatee, Monroe, Pinellas, Pasco, and Sarasota. The Regional Committee organizes training sessions, tournaments, expos, and a Regional Championship.

Support for the West Florida Region comes from Hillsborough Community College, Suncoast Credit Union, SOFWERX High Tech Corridor, and Amazon.

We’re grateful for the West Florida Region’s partnership at ROBOTICON and for their generous support of the FIRST Alumni gathering at AMRoC on October 12.  If you’re a FIRST Alumni of any program – FIRST LEGO League, FIRST Tech Challenge or FIRST Robotics Competition, we invite you to join us on the 12th for a fun evening of table top and video games, food and music, and opportunities to win some fun raffle items courtesy of Game Stop, Nerd Culture and Zumiez!

The event is free but seating is limited so RSVP ASAP to save your spot!
