Next up, FIRST Tech Challenge Team 5937, Renaissance Robotics of Apopka, FL! This team has taken home a few trophies from ROBOTICON in past years, and at official competitions in Florida and at Championship events.
Renaissance Robotics is a homeschooled FIRST Tech Challenge competition team founded in 2012. They have been sponsored by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) since their FIRST LEGO League days dating back to 2005, when they competed as BRICKschoolers. Renaissance Robotics is devoted to helping young people discover and develop a passion for science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), while making new friends worth crossing centuries for.
The team has a track record of success at tournaments and championship events, FIRST in Florida Showcase Team recognition for impressive student led outreach, numerous Dean’s List Finalists and a reputation for being a positive role model to others. They are especially known throughout their community for STEM outreach events, community service projects and gracious professionalism. They are easily recognized by the their red and blue tabards and gold crowns.
