Surfing in from Gainesville, Florida, here’s FIRST Robotics Competition team #4118, Roaring Riptide! Founded in 2012, the team operates out of P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School at the University of Florida
“Roaring Riptide’s work doesn’t start and end with the build season and competition season”, the team wants everyone to know. ” In the summer, fall, and winter – Roaring Riptide participates in numerous school-based, local community, and state outreach events. Our team’s work really focuses on our outreach in assistive technology, in which we use our STEM skills, learned in robotics, to adapt toys for children with disabilities.”
Check out their 2018 Chairman’s Award Video below to see the team in action.
