We’ve been getting a lot of inquiries from FIRST teams about ROBOTICON registration, so we’ve launched an “Early Interest” Form  that teams can sign up in to be first in line when official registration opens this summer!

Registration fees will be $200-$300 for FIRST Robotics Competition teams, with a nominal fee for a second robot, and fees will range from $10-$25 for FIRST LEGO League Jr., FIRST LEGO League and FIRST Tech Challenge teams.   At our September 29 & 30 event, at the University of South Florida Sun Dome Arena, teams across all four FIRST programs will be able to enjoy game play, workshops and more!  We hope to field about 30 FIRST Robotics Competition teams, a dozen FIRST Tech Challenge, up to 16 FIRST LEGO League teams and up to 10 FIRST LEGO League Jr. teams.

2018-19 FIRST Tech Challenge game

FIRST Robotics Competition teams can attend  workshops and and enjoy full off-season Power Up! game play (with maybe a surprise twist)  on Tampa’s new permanent FIRST Robotics Competition field.

Although it’s early in the FIRST Tech Challenge “Rover Ruckus” season, participating teams will be able to see Robot in 1 Weekend robots, enjoy a build day, scrimmages, workshops, networking,  mentor support and training opportunities with a full new season FIRST Tech Challenge Rover Ruckus field for testing your robots.

2018 FIRST LEGO League game

FIRST LEGO League Jr. 2018 game

FIRST LEGO League Teams can enjoy a full day of practice, workshops and “Into Orbit” game play. Two FIRST LEGO League tables with the new season game will be available at ROBOTICON, and FIRST LEGO League Jr. Teams can enjoy a mini FIRST LEGO League Jr. “Mission Moon” Expo.

Participating teams and the public will also be able to enjoy science, engineering and tech displays and interactive exhibits from the University of South Florida College of Engineering, and sponsor and community partner exhibits and displays.  In keeping with FIRST Launch this year, ROBOTICON will be rocking a space theme throughout the whole weekend!

Many thanks to ROBOT League of Tampa Bay and Suncoast FIRST LEGO League for running the FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST LEGO League portions of ROBOTICON, and to our Florida FIRST Alumni for making the FIRST Robotics Competition off-season possible.  Go Teams!
