click here to registerRegistration for ROBOTICON Tampa Bay 2015 is now OPEN!!  The goal of ROBOTICON is to provide off-season game play for all program levels, as well as training opportunities for students and adult coaches and mentors,  and opportunities for those curious about FIRST to see teams in action and game play in context, and to learn how they can get involved as team members, coaches, mentors, or sponsors.
This year, we’re coordinating the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Off-Season portion of our event on October 10 and 11th, with Panther Prowl  in Melbourne, being held on October 3, at the Florida Institute of Technology and the return of Mission Mayhem,  on September 19th, at Dillard High School Ft. Lauderdale .  We have a  single site registration form online here, or clickfield pic the image above left.
In collaboration with Panther Prowl and South Florida, we’re offering discounts for teams that register for more than one event, as follows:
  • $150 if you register your team for one event,
  • $125 per event if you register for two and
  • $100 per event if you register for all three.
Additional robots are $50, and there’s a one day only option for ROBOTICON for just $75.   We’re also considering a Florida FRC Off-Season Champion Award, determined via a point system,  for teams that compete in all three off-season events, that would be awarded at ROBOTICON. We’ll let you know if that idea progresses beyond an idea after we see what registration looks like at the end of the summer.
FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC)  and FIRST LEGO League (FLL) teams can enjoy build and scrimmage opportunities all day Saturday. We’re incorporating feedbackall programs register here from our last two events for improved pit and play experiences for both levels and more targeted workshops for FTC & FLL.   R.O.B.O.T. League FTC Teams may participate in ROBOTICON at no cost, in appreciation for field use and volunteer support. It’s $25 for teams outside of the local FTC league to enjoy build, scrimmage, workshops and training opportunities. Full FTC playing field and FLL table will be available for game play and practice.  We’re also hoping to host a mini demonstration Jr. FIRST LEGO League (Jr. FLL)  Expo on Saturday.    Registration for FTC, FLL, and Jr. FLL teams can be found here, or click the image at left.
As before, we’ll have  workshops all day Saturday, and we’re working to beef up our college and career hall on Saturday, and considering the addition of a Sunday Vendor Hall opportunity for teams interested in fundraising for their teams. (More info on that soon. )  Look for specs on this year’s ROBOTICON Challenge soon, too. So save the date, and register early to get a spot at ROBOTICON Tampa Bay, and at Panther Prowl and South Florida!
