The ROBOTICON Elementary and Middle School Robotics Showcase experience is hosted by our community partner Fun with Bots, a robotics education company that provides hands-on programs that allow students the freedom to explore and learn technology like CAD design, robotics, and 3D printing. Utilizing LEGO MINDSTORMS, LEGO WeDo, Arduino, and other technology, students at any level get challenged while making friends and having fun.

Fun with Bots owner Shauna Beasley provides an engaging curriculum and a nurturing environment for all students to grow and express their creativity. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics with concentrations in Computer Engineering, Literature Studies, and Geology from Auburn University and considers herself a lifelong learner. Ms. Beasley is a certified K-12 teacher with endorsements in Gifted and ELL.

She is also Level 3 International Baccalaureate trained and has coached FIRST LEGO League robotics teams since 2006. Ms. Beasley considers teaching and mentoring students her life work and works passionately to help each individual student realize their full potential from a constructivist educational philosophy and a whole child development perspective

At ROBOTICON, visitors will be able to enjoy seeing student displays around FIRST LEGO League Discover, Explore and Challenge programs, featuring the work of youth ages 4-12, as well as a variety of other robotics demos and LEGO fun throughout the day.

Join us to meet these great student teams with their awesome team names: Distributed Processors, Flaming Rubber Duckies, The Butterfly Effect, JagBots and Jammin’ JagBots.

What’s not to love?  Come on out and see the future in action from 11 am to 5 pm, right in front of AMRoC Fab Lab at Rithm (formerly University Mall ).
